"Card's Brook"

120 Tri-X shot with a Holga plastic toy camera.

This image shot, with a Holga, portrays the pond in Card's Brook path and the start of the pond's demise, being over run by cat 'o' nine tails. We lived next to the pond for years and it was open water up to the near forground where the leafless tree is to the right.

Fish, beaver, turtles and a family of mallards made their home there. It was a great place to vist which we did very often.

What little open water you see there is now gone. The bleak black and white image made with the unpredictable Holga is a fitting image to represent a habitat's death.
